Why the governments of Eastern Europe do not care about such left out Homeless Children in need? One of the government employees in Russia said: "We do not have a structure on government level, nor on social level, who would be concerned with those homeless children". In big numbers, Russia's children are just distroyed, used by pedophiles, sadists, and are even used for body parts". On the streets of Odessa, you could meet children from Russia, Ukraine an Belarus, Officially there are three thousand of homeless children in need, but in reality – it is only a small part, of what is there is, according to Tatyana Smikop, an investigator with the criminal policy in Ukraine. Nobody could give an exact estimate of the number of homeless children on the streets of Ukraine in need, but there is one certain thing – Ukraine is filled with a third wave of children's homelessness
The first two waves happened during 1st and 2nd World Wars, thats when most of the children in need were homeless, and without parents, because their parents died. Most of the parents of the children today- are alive, thats why in Ukraine – there is a new way of homeless children – “social orphan”. On the street those children can see the safe place from the agression an violance of their parents. When they connect in groups, those homeless children in need live in the hasements, on the top of the homes, an in empty water pipes. Thats where they live by their own rules and laws. Price of any mistake – life. To be able to survive – they need food, to receive food – money is needed. Thats what they realize, when they get on the street. Some of them wash cars, work hard jobs such as loaders and unloaders, or repair something. Others ask for money or steeal, Some children get unto sexual slavery. Often, their pay is in the form of a bottle of Vodka, or a doze of drugs. Those that refuse to take alcohol or drugs, are forced by others to obey, and take it. Often hungry, those children try to make fun of their uneasy life, with the use of narcotics, alcohol an glue, which they smell, and it becomes like drugs to them.There are Lots of children who are left out on the streets, near our shelter, that we cannot take alone, as we are a small ministry.
